Obituary for Arthur H. Schain
Arthur Schain, 78 of New City, NY passed away on February 15, 2016 after a courageous battle. Born January 03, 1938 in New Rochelle, NY to the late Samuel and Berenice Schain. Arthur was a cherished and loving husband to his high school sweetheart, Roberta “Bobbie” J. Schain and a very best friend and devoted father to his son, Michael. He graduated from The New Hampton School and went on to earn his undergraduate and MBA degree at New York University. He loved everything related to cars, spending time with many special friends and getting to know what made people tick. His greatest love was his family. Arthur was a great conversationalist, had a wonderful sense of humor, a gift for storytelling and left a lasting impression on those who were fortunate enough to cross his path. He will be greatly missed. There will be a graveside service on Wednesday 1pm at Riversville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Arthur’s memory to the New Rochelle Chapter of Hadassah, 60 Somerset Rd. New Rochelle, NY 10804, attn: Carol Curtis. Shiva Times: Thursday 2-5pm & 7-9pm; Saturday 7-9pm; Sunday 2-5pm & 7-9pm; Monday 2-5pm.
