Obituary for Bradley D. Weiner
Bradley D. Weiner, formerly of Yonkers and Mt. Kisco, passed away December 6, 2021, at the age of 64. Brad was born July 18, 1957 in Yonkers and was the eldest son of Kenneth & Shirley Weiner. Brad graduated Roosevelt High School in 1975 and first attended Fordham University where he loved hosting radio shows for WFUV. He then transferred to SUNY Plattsburgh and completed his Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Computer Sciences. Brad worked for many years in IT as a Computer Systems Programmer and a Data Base Administrator for several companies in NYC and CT. Later in life he completed the majority of the requirements for a Masters in Education degree at CUNY and prior to the illness which left him physically disabled, he had the opportunity to teach High School Mathematics, which he loved. His family fondly recalls his witty and sarcastic sense of humor, his intelligence and curiosity, his love of comic books and all things Marvel and DC. Brad was a voracious reader and a lover of both history and music, leaving behind a large and eclectic collection of books and CDs. His greatest pride and love, however, was for his two girls. The annual trip to the NYC book fair, frequent trips to the comic book store and the local library as well as his talents at the backyard BBQ are especially fond family memories. Brad is survived by his wife, Dr. Jeanne Devine, daughters, Rachel & Kerrin, brother, Alan Weiner, and many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Brad also leaves behind many friends among the staff of the Hebrew Home of Riverdale who cared for him so well over the past six years. A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 1pm at ZION MEMORIAL CHAPEL 785 E. Boston Post Rd Mamaroneck, 914-381-1809.
