Obituary for David R. Selznick
David R. Selznick, age 61, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2016 in Somers, New York surrounded by his loved ones. David was born on November 18,1955 in Newark, New Jersey to Richard Selznick and Denise (Sakal) Selznick. David grew up in Westfield, New Jersey and attended Syracuse University and Pace University. On August 12, 1979, David married Helene Weistuch and together they had two children. David was a tax attorney who headed an accountancy and tax law practice in Armonk, New York. He greatly enjoyed working with his clients, often developing friendships with them and their families that lasted many years. David was also an avid golfer who logged countless rounds at Tamarack Country Club and played courses throughout the county, the country, and the world. His personal motto, which he repeated often, was “there are no problems, only opportunities”. David is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years Helene; daughter Kim, son Ben and daughter-in-law Sarah, sister Michele (Schmidt) and brother-in-law Chris (Schmidt), as well as cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10:30am on Sunday, November 27 at Zion Memorial Chapel, 785 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, NY.
