Obituary for Edith Louise Master
Edith Louise Master, daughter of Dr. Arthur M. Master and Hilda Altschul Master of New York City, died August 18, 2013 at the age of 80. Edith was a champion equestrian and a member of four U.S. Olympic teams. When she won the bronze medal in team dressage at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, Edith became the second-oldest United States woman to win an Olympic medal in any sport. She is survived by her sister, Camilla M. Rosenfeld, her brother-in-law Isadore Rosenfeld, her niece, Hildi Rosenfeld Silbert, and her three nephews, Arthur Rosenfeld, Stephen Rosenfeld and Herbert Rosenfeld. Services are private.
