-Edward D. Court, 69. Of Purchase, NY, raised in Salem, OH, died on December 26, 2015 after a long illness. A master piano tuner and technician; Edward honed his craft at Steinway & Sons and was trusted to keep the works of our greatest artists in tune. He worked at many storied concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Purchase College Performing Arts Center. Edward served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, was a strong influence on those around him, and weaved wonderful stories that reflected his fun, quirky personality. He will be missed by his wife, Deborah Sommers; seven children and their partners, Jennifer Court & Jacob Trombetta, Jed Wasserman & Sia Sotirakis, Rebecca Wasserman & Benjamin Traverse, Anne Court & Ryan Johnston, Katie Wasserman & Oren Neiman, Michael & Phoebe Court, and Joseph Court; many grandchildren, Clark Johnston, Tristan Court, Lola Traverse, Phaedra Wasserman, and one more on the way; and an extended network of family, friends and artists who loved him dearly.
