Opengart, Edward of White Plains, NY and Westhampton Beach passed away on May 28th. Beloved and devoted husband to Fran Taubin Opengart, loving father to daughters Amy Pappas and Caryn Robbins, sons-in-law Chris and Jeff, immensely proud grandfather of Michael, Lauren, Alex, Jenny, and Laynie. Ed was born in the Bronx to Louis and Clara on May 26th, a birthday he shared with his wife. He was predeceased by his brother Alfred. An NYU graduate with a Masters in Engineering and a US Army veteran, Ed founded PMI, an innovative tech company in the early years of the computer industry. An active community member, he served as President of the boards of LaCoquille and Club Pointe. Ed loved a sunny day on the beach, a run or bike ride, and a challenging puzzle, but his greatest joy in life was his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, alz.org.
