Obituary for Irene Berns
Irene Berns of Rye passed away on October 24, 2017. She was 90. Born in Riga, Latvia on June 23, 1927 to Max & Helen Brussovansky, Irene worked as a language teacher at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua until her retirement.
Beloved wife of the late Richard T. Berns, loving mother of Mitchell Berns (Kimberly), Barbara Klein (Gregory) & Diana Berns, cherished grandmother of Austin Klein, Lindsay Klein, Max Berns, Blake Berns & Henry Berns and great-grandmother of Anora Irene & Eden Rose. Irene was predeceased by her loving husband Richard T. Berns and dear brother Victor Brussovansky.
A graveside memorial service will be held 1pm Friday October 27 at Westchester Hills Cemetery, 400 Saw Mill River Rd., Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706. For more information or to place an online condolence, visit www.zionchapel.com.
