Joan Zolt of Boca Raton, Florida, Mt. Washington, Massachusetts, and Scarsdale, NY has joined her husband Marvin Zolt yesterday, January,1,2018 at 12:45 p.m. after a heroic battle with lung cancer. Joan would have been 90 years old on January 28,2018. Joan was born in Brooklyn to Goodman and Edith Feltz and is also predeceased by her brothers Lionel and Marvin. She is survived by her daughters Nora, Felicia (DeeCee), grandson Zachary, her Shih Tzu Tiffany, daughter Wendy(George), grandson David. Joan was a multi-talented woman. As a young child , she was a dancer and graphic artist and attended Pratt Institute. She grew up to be the lead dancer on Broadway in Top Banana with Phil Silvers and Rose Marie, Naked with a Checkbook & The Ed Sullivan Show. She was also an original “Old Gold Girl” dancing cigarette. She was “king size”. Joan met the love of her life Marvin while working as the dance instructor at the Ted Mack Camp in the Berkshires. He visited the camp as a future director & instead found his future soulmate. Four months later they were married on December 19th. This would have been their 60th . In the ‘60’s and ‘70’s Joan owned her own business with her dear friend. They were the original “Designing Women. Joan was “The Redhead in a sea of Blondes. Always a standout , stunningly beautiful.
