He attended Baruch College of the CUNY for his undergraduate and graduate degrees. He enlisted as a reservist in the US Army in 1964 and was honorably discharged.
Richard spent his life devoted to his family. One of Richard’s dreams was to have a large family and he achieved that by being the patriarch of a close and loving blended family. His children and grandchildren were a deep source of love and pride for him. Richard was his family’s primary resource for all general knowledge and directional information. He made their safety his top priority and he always kept them supplied with the latest in vehicular safety equipment.
After a successful career in Marketing, he gave tirelessly to the community as Captain of the town of Greenberg’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). He was head of many operations, including Greenberg’s Child Safety Seat Inspection Program, traffic control for community events & disaster preparedness.
He was inducted into the Westchester County Senior Citizen Hall of Fame and served as Vice President of Westchester County Citizens Corps.
Richard also served on the Budget committee for the Town of Greenberg as well as Greenberg’s Water District Advisory Committee.

I dropped a tear in the ocean. The day you find it is the day I will stop missing you. ~ Author Unknown
Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile & who love you no matter what. ~ Author Unknown
