Obituary for Robert Zucker
Robert Zucker, 85, formerly of Yonkers, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 17th in Johnston, RI. He was born in New York City on February 17, 1926 to Shirley & James Zucker who have predeceased him. He was the loving husband for more than 55 years to Edith F. Zucker, who passed away in 2005. He is survived by his loving daughters Bobbie Bryson of Bluffton, SC, Laura Zucker of Johnson, RI, and Susan Fuller of Harrison, NY, and son James Zucker of Walnut Creek, CA. Poppy, as he was known, is also survived by adored grandchildren Pamela & Alexandra Fuller, and Andrew & Sarah Zucker, sons-in-law Robert Fuller, Alan Bryson and Paul Bandilli, daughter-in-law Patricia Zucker, brother-in-law Melvin Mintz and sisters-in-law Silvia Rosenberg and Leila Mintz. He was a combat World War II Army veteran, life-long member of Mt. Masada-Galaxy Lodge #902 Free & Accepted Masons, Past Worthy Patron of Mt. Masada Chapter #587 Order of the Eastern Star, the Oriental Shriners of Troy, NY and Free Sons of Israel Lodge in New York City. He was also very active for over 40 years in both Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts of Westchester-Putnam. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 20th, 12 PM, at the Zion Memorial Chapel, 785 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck. Interment will follow at Beth David Cemetery, 300 Elmont Rd, Elmont, NY. The family requests that In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob can be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, Office of Development, International Shrine Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607-1460, or the Alzheimer’s Association, 2900 Westchester Avenue. Purchase, NY 10577. Shiva will be observed at the home of Susan & Robert Fuller, 28 Orchard Street, Harrison, Sunday, November 20th, 5-9 PM, and Monday, November 21st, 11 AM – 9 PM.
