Obituary for Margit DeRosa
Margit DeRosa (nee Weingarten) of White Plains passed away on September 14, 2017 surrounded by her loving daughters. Born in Vienna, Austria to Carl & Siddy Weingarten. Margit will be remembered for her love of fashion and impeccable sense of style, which began many years ago when she was a student at The Fashion Institute of Technology. She thoroughly enjoyed travel and was an instrumental force behind her late husband John DeRosa, who was a developer of many Westchester landmarks. Beloved wife of the late John DeRosa, loving and devoted mother of Geryl Fuchs, Lisa DeRosa Panitz (Michael) and John DeRosa, Jr (Cecilia), cherished grandmother of Katrina, Rachel, Bryan and Christian DeRosa and Julia & Michael DeNigris. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Evelyn Beldegreen and Harriet Finder. A Funeral Service will be held 12:30pm Sunday at the Coxe & Graziano facility next store to Zion Memorial Chapel 767 E. Boston Post Rd. Mamaroneck 914-381-1809, entombment will follow at Kensico Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society https://donate.lls.org .
